Beautifully Restored

My name is Heather Church and I am a child of God.  I am married to a wonderful man, Brad, and we have a cute Miniature Australian Shepherd named Aussie (yes, we are a creative bunch!).  We live in beautiful mountains of Colorado and love to spend our timing with family and friends, hiking, biking, skiing and growing in our relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Saint Edward’s University in Austin, TX and have been working in the financial industry for the last 13 years.

I am not a writer.  This blog is a response to God’s call to make my mess my message.  I give all of the glory and praise to Him, who will use this as an instrument of His voice.

As a young woman I made a series of bad decisions that led to more and more bad decisions.  These decisions shaped the woman I was becoming, which is not who I wanted to be and certainly not who God planned for me to be.  Through His grace and mercy, He called me back and led me into a journey that has brought repentance, forgiveness, healing, redemption and beautiful restoration in my life.

While my life certainly looked to be successful and happy on the outside, there was much sadness, torment and anger on the inside.  I invite you to join me on this journey as it is far from over.  I will share my mess with you, share how God has dealt with and is dealing with that mess and how He has revealed Himself along the way.  This is His message through my mess.  Only through and with Christ am I adequate to do this.

And they overcame him [Satan] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.  Revelation 12:11 (NASB)

My prayer is that anyone who reads this can find healing and beautiful restoration in their own life – to truly know that His forgiveness and grace is for waiting for you, regardless of your situation.  I pray that you will come to know our Heavenly Father in a very real and personal way.  He is a loving, forgiving and merciful God who longs to bless you and have a personal relationship with YOU.
