Tonight I was driving home with my husband, my mother-in-law and my brother-in-law after a yummy dinner in town. Since we’re less than a week away from Christmas, we we eagerly seeking out any house that was decorated with Christmas lights. We “ooh”ed and “aah”ed anytime we caught a glimpse of one. We were even amazed at the lone pine tree in someone’s yard that was decked out in lights. It didn’t matter what it was – we were simply looking for any lights we could find.
Isn’t that just like us, though…? As created beings we’re drawn to light… We’re drawn to the Light… Desperately searching – if even only for that small glimpse through the trees.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12
